Get Set was established by a group of set designers and film industry professionals to create full or partial rooms sets for cinema rooms or other
themed areas of the home.

They have recently completed a stunning Indiana Jones corner within one of Loud & Clear's cinema rooms;
complete with stone carvings, gold idol and even a mummified skeleton!

On the night we plan to have the genuine Braveheart sword on a surprise return to Scotland, as well as a host of other movie memorobilia to view and purchase. 

We will also be demonstrating the very finest in 3D Home Cinema from Meridian, JVC, Epson, Pioneer and Control 4 as well as the latest in movie and music streaming.

NEW NAIM XS MUSIC STREAMER

 

Naim Introduce the ND5 XS Streamer

Naim has announced the addition of a new slimline network player to its XS Series. 

The ND5 XS network player is a network-connected separates source. It offers UPnP streaming up to 24bit/192kHz resolution over the home network,
either from network-attached storage or a hard disk player / server. It has an in-built internet radio tuner and features Naim's Choice: a pre-loaded list of Naim's
favourite internet radio stations, including an exclusive 320kbps stream from Radio Paradise.

It features a front-panel USB socket for digitally-connected iPod, MP3 players and memory sticks and three S/PDIF inputs for connection to external digital sources, such as a CD player.
An optional FM/DAB tuner module is also available. 

The ND5 XS follows on from the introduction last year of the NDX and has been engineered to integrate into the Naim range at the same performance level as Naim's other XS Series components. 
The ND5 XS is performance-upgradeable, currently with the addition of an external XPS or 555 PS power supply and / or Naim DAC.

And for those of you already with the NDX, this will also be updated to stream 24bit/192kHZ audio.

Loud & Clear are delighted to be working with set designers Gary and Rob from the new Glasgow based company “Get Set at the Movies” - this unique collaboration are famous for such projects as the scary “Alien War” exhibition and roadshow, numerous film sets locally and throughout the world and more recently a little bit of one of our very own cinema dem rooms in Glasgow.

The guys have successfully created a little bit of the tomb from Indiana Jones, Raiders of the Lost Ark, complete with hieroglyphics and its very own mummified skeleton.

At an approximate cost of around £1000 exc VAT per linear metre, Get Set at the Movies will transfer your home cinema, games or play room into whatever you desire – tropical paradise, sultry bordello, casino, vampire crypt, underwater garden – or can emulate any film set you choose - The Bridge of the Starship Enterprise, Harry Potter's castle.

The limits of your imagination are the only restriction.

Nightclubbing is the fifth studio album by Grace Jones, released in 1981. It is the second of three post-disco albums that Jones made at Compass Point Studios in the Bahamas and became Jones' commercial breakthrough and also formed the basis of her groundbreaking concept tour A One Man Show. It claimed the number one slot on NME Album of the Year.

So Good...We thought we'd do it all over again!

Loud & Clear join forces with Glasgow Club heroes Melting Pot to present Classic Album Replay.

Taking our influence from Greg Wilson's Living To Music

...Greg's idea is that once a month we should settle down and listen to a classic album in its entirety, without interruptions - this month it's Stevie Wonder - Innervisions

Where better to listen to it than on one of the amazing hi-fi systems at Loud & Clear - one of the UK's finest hi-fi retailers!

We will have a couple of systems playing. A reference system in the main dem room, and something a little less reference upstairs!

We will run 2 sittings for the reference system:

6.15pm and again at 7.15pm

All of us at Loud & Clear are delighted to welcome the folks from Diverse Vinyl north of the border.
So come along, bring some friends & some of your favourite albums & hear how they sound on a selection of our finest decks.
The usual suspects will be on hand to answer any questions, along with Paul from Diverse who'll be bringing a huge selection of quality new vinyl, covering rock, pop, classical & jazz, along with a special selection of audiophile recordings, all available for you to purchase & take home!
